	Pericyte Growth Supplement (PGS) is a medium supplement designed for the optimal growth of normal human pericytes in vitro. It is a sterile, concentrated (100X) solution which contains growth factors, hormones, and proteins necessary for the culture of normal human pericytes. The supplement is formulated (quantitatively and qualitatively) to provide a defined and optimally balanced growth environment that maximally promotes the growth of normal human pericytes in vitro. 			Recently I was attempting to isolate pericytes from mouse brain tissue, following established protocols I finally attempted to passage cells in new collagen coated wells and a 10cm dish in PGM with PGM supplement for mouse. My concern was the protocol didn't call for additional serum in the PGM --- does the supplement provide for this or is it an omission in the protocol I used? Reason being I see very few cells growing after incubation. I'm just troubleshooting before I use transgenic mice vital to the research.

				Our recommended medium is #1231 PM-m (Pericyte Medium-mouse), which does come with 10mL FBS in a separate tube. In addition, we recommend using poly-L-lysine to coat culture flasks.
